Privacy & data

What we collect

If you sign in: your email address and name, plus your profile image if you sign in with Google.

For events: the event title and description, matching settings, the names and email addresses of people invited or who join, and each person's place and date preferences (ratings and cross-outs). Places are stored as a Google place ID, address, venue name and coordinates.

How it's used

Only to run the app: showing events to their participants, computing suggestions, and sending event emails (invites, responses, confirmations and sign-in links). No ads, no selling or renting your data, and no third-party analytics or tracking.

Services we rely on

  • Vercel for hosting
  • Neon for the Postgres database
  • Google for sign-in with Google, Maps/Places search in your browser, and Geocoding on our server
  • Resend for sending email

Each processes data only as needed to provide its service.

Who can see what

An event's organizer sees participants' names, emails and preferences. Participants see the event, first names, and the group's suggestions. Personal response links are private to each participant, so don't share yours.

Cookies

Only what sign-in needs (a session cookie), plus your theme choice, which is kept in your browser's local storage.

Keeping & deleting data

Data is kept while the event exists. To delete your data or an event, email hello@coordinate.my and we'll remove it.
